American Express (Amex) is expanding its dining footprint in a major way.
Amex recently announced that its reservation platform Resy will merge with Tock, a reservation and experiential booking platform, this summer. The integration will add more than 25,000 venues—including restaurants, wineries, and other hospitality experiences—to the Resy network.
For eligible Amex cardholders with Resy dining credits, this means thousands more places where you can redeem those credits.
What you need to know
25,000 additional venues join Resy
If you’re not already familiar, Tock is known for fine dining, prepaid tasting menus, and winery experiences. After the merge, Tock venues will be bookable directly through Resy’s app and website. The standalone Tock app and exploretock.com will be sunset.
Highlighted venues include some of the nation’s most acclaimed establishments, such as:
- Alinea in Chicago
- Atomix in New York City
- Lazy Bear in San Francisco
- Canlis in Seattle
- Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Westchester, New York
And more than 1,200 wineries will be on the platform, including:
- Heitz Cellar in St. Helena, California
- Antica Terra in Washington’s Willamette Valley
- Scribe Winery in Sonoma, California
- Ridge Vineyards in Healdsburg, California
Resy’s footprint is already substantial across the United States. Adding Tock’s fine-dining experiences, ticketed events, and winery tastings makes Resy a richer resource for food-focused travelers.
What this means for Amex Resy dining credits
Here’s where things get intriguing for cardholders.
Several American Express cards offer recurring Resy dining credits that you activate and use when paying at participating Resy restaurants with your eligible card.
With Tock venues now integrated into Resy, many of these newly added restaurants and wineries should become eligible once the integration goes live.
However, a few questions remain. Some Resy credits are limited to U.S. restaurants, and Tock is known for prepaid and ticketed experiences—areas where credit eligibility can vary. Amex has not yet confirmed whether every former Tock venue will qualify.
Even with these caveats, the math is straightforward: more venues on Resy should translate into more opportunities to use and maximize your credits.

Amex cards that offer Resy dining credits
A number of Amex cards provide ongoing Resy dining credits that can help offset annual fees when used strategically. Enrollment is required for all benefits; credits apply when you pay at U.S. Resy restaurants.
- American Express Platinum Card® (annual fee: $895): Up to $100 in statement credits each quarter (up to $400 per year)
- American Express Gold Card (annual fee: $325): Up to $50 in statement credits biannually (up to $100 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card (annual fee: $350): Up to $10 in statement credits per month (up to $120 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business American Express Card (annual fee: $350): Up to $10 in statement credits per month (up to $120 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card (annual fee: $650): Up to $20 in statement credits per month (up to $240 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card (annual fee: $650): Up to $20 in statement credits per month (up to $240 per year)
To receive the credit, cardholders must activate the benefit and then pay at participating U.S. Resy restaurants using the eligible card.
With thousands of new venues joining Resy this summer, it could become easier to fully maximize these credits—especially if you enjoy splurge-worthy dining experiences or wine-country trips.
Bottom line
The Resy–Tock merger is a clear win for Amex cardholders. By adding 25,000 venues—including Michelin-starred restaurants and more than 1,200 wineries—Amex strengthens the value proposition of its dining-focused perks. Amex has not yet published an official list of eligible Tock venues, but if you hold an eligible card, you’ll soon have many more opportunities to turn reservations into statement credits.
